A study of how to position Aspen as the epicenter of uphill fitness in North America found that brand-building, plus more events and infrastructure related to earning your turns, could put the valley and region in position to take advantage of a growing sector of the snow sports industry.
The city-commissioned “Uphill Economic Development Plan,” in the works since August from consultants RRC Associates and Agnew Beck, includes an economic analysis of the uphill sector in relation to the broader snow sports industry, plus a review of how ski resorts approach uphillers.
